Newsflash

op-shieldDid you know that this year, with the support of the Dominican Family in Ireland, we have some part sponsorship available!

If you are interested in attending the music & liturgy course and are unable to cover the costs of the course, then you can avail of some sponsorship to attend the course. We're anxious that money should not be a factor in preventing young people from attending and are happy to help in whatever way we can.

Contact me at tricia@knockadoon.net for more information. All requests will be treated in complete confidence! The only thing we ask is that you are involved in a choir/parish in some capacity.

CALL TO WORSHIP
Chant Take, O Take Me As I Am (Iona, GIA)
Candle Lighting
Invitation/Proclamation
You are all very welcome to this time of prayer. Just as Christ brought together his disciples for the first time, he now brings all of us together. He calls us and asks us to come together in prayer. We, people of all ages, from many different places, from near and far, from so many different walks of life, we who bring our limitations and our hopes, our successes and our failures, we who hardly know one another, now open our hearts to Christ and to each other.

In the reading tonight we are called to welcome one another just as Christ has welcomed us and so for a minute let us take some time to greet someone that we have never met before or someone who we haven’t seen in a while.

May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the Glory of God.

General Intercessions
(sing
Éist linn a Thiarna underneath)
In the fear and apprehension, in the hesitation and insecurity we experience as we follow you, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

In the sense of mystery, in the wonder that dawns in us, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

In the expectation and pain and restlessness that we experience as we follow you, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

When we grow tired and weary, when the burden makes us falter and want us to stop, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

When we grow in insight, as your wisdom prompts us when to let go and when to take up, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

When we glimpse your presence and thrill to the sense of your nearness, God of hope, accompany us along the way...

Lord's Prayer
CONCLUDING RITE
Concluding Prayer
God,
Help us to feel free enough to let go,
To let you take over,
To accept your presence,
Help me to accept you.
Send me the gift of breath,
that I may greet with joy the spirit
which I know,
is singing deep within my heart.
